Ariana Grande hasn't stated a birth time, but two strong clues point the same way. Ariana was born on 26 June 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida, which gives a Cancer Sun and a Virgo or Libra Moon (the Moon entered Libra at about 9:45 am). Ariana has named Capricorn as the ascendant, and the 9:16 pm time Ariana's father once tweeted gives exactly that.
The clearest lead comes from Ariana Grande. In Vanity Fair's Lie Detector Test, published on 30 September 2024, Ariana said Capricorn is the ascendant, as PEOPLE reported. That's a placement rather than a clock time, but it's first-hand.
The second lead comes from family. In 2015 Ariana's father, Edward Butera, answered a fan on Twitter with a birth time of 9:16 pm. The tweet has since gone, but Astro-Databank and Astrotheme both recorded it and rate it A, their grade for a time quoted from a person close to the birth. We checked: 9:16 pm in Boca Raton would put the rising sign in Capricorn, at about 21°, so Ariana's words and Ariana's father's tweet agree.
Two other times float around. A fan site's baby photo caption says 9:10 pm, unverified, and that would also give Capricorn. A Facebook fan page says 12:34 pm, which would put the rising sign in Virgo and doesn't fit what Ariana has said.
The Sun in Cancer is devoted, intuitive and full of feeling, and its tight square to Jupiter in Libra makes everything bigger: the heart, the voice and the generosity. Mercury sits late in Cancer too, so words come from memory and emotion, and lyrics land as confessions told to a friend.

Mars in Virgo, opposite Saturn at the very start of Pisces, works with discipline and care for detail. The Moon spent most of the day in Libra, graceful and drawn to harmony; before about 9:45 am it was in Virgo, thoughtful and devoted.
A published record would lock in the rising sign and the houses. The evidence already leans hard on one answer: both evening times would put the rising sign in Capricorn, which matches Ariana's own word, and 9:16 pm would also put the Moon in Libra. Until a record is published, this page treats them as a strong likelihood.
