A poster of the sky you were born under

Enter your birth date, time and place, and Pluto Garden draws the sky as it was at that moment: the Sun, the Moon and every planet in its real direction and distance from Earth, with the signs they were passing through. Your chart and 3D sky are free. The poster comes with the full written reading: once your reading is written, a link under it downloads the sky as a poster with your name, date and place, and your chart set out under the sky. It's made on your own device, so the image never leaves it.

Make my poster

What's on the poster

The poster is the same sky you can fly through on screen, framed from a little way out so every planet fits: the Sun with its glow, the Moon, the planets out to Pluto, and the zodiac signs far behind them. Your name sits at the top, with your birth date, time and place under it. Beneath the sky is your chart as a table: every planet with its sign, degree and house, the twelve house cusps, your rising sign, midheaven and the other two angles, and the coordinates of your birthplace. Without a birth time you still get every planet; the houses and angles are left off.

Printing it

The file is 3600 by 5400 pixels, which prints sharp at 12 by 18 inches and scales down cleanly for A3, A4 or 8 by 12. Any photo printer or print shop can take it as it is. Matte paper suits the dark sky best, because gloss shows reflections across the black.

How it's different from a star map

A custom star map shows the stars over one town on one night, as dots joined into constellations. This poster shows something else: where the planets themselves were, the Sun, the Moon and the rest, the part of the sky astrology reads. If you'd like the meaning behind it too, the same page gives you your birth chart, with every placement by sign and house.

Questions

How do I get the birth sky poster?

Make your chart (that part is free), then get the full written reading. When it's finished, "Download your birth sky poster" appears under it. There's no sign-up and no watermark beyond a small pluto.garden line at the bottom, and you can come back and download it again any time on the same device.

Do I need my birth time?

It helps but isn't required. With a time the poster also lists your rising sign, houses and angles. Without one, every planet is still in its place for that day; see a birth chart without a birth time.

Can I make one for someone else?

Yes. Put their name in "Whose chart is this?" and use their birth details. It makes a thoughtful gift for a birthday or a new baby.
